Fabrication

Our CEREC milling machine will create your new crown while you wait. Depending on the complexity of your crown, the process can take anywhere from five to 20 minutes to complete.

Crown Placement

Dr. Lande will place your crown and make any final adjustments to provide you with an optimized bite and beautiful, confident smile.

Restored Smile

In as little as an hour, you can enjoy your new smile. You may experience mild sensitivity following treatment, but it typically resolves on its own in a few days.

Dental crowns can be cared for just like your natural teeth. Continue to brush at least twice a day, floss daily, and attend regular dental check-ups at our office once every six months.

Maintaining Your Dental Crown

With proper maintenance, your dental crown can last for 10 years or longer. Here are a few tips to keep your crown and mouth healthy for years to come.

Maintain Good Oral Hygiene

It is very important for your overall oral health to maintain oral hygiene by brushing with a soft bristle brush for at least two minutes, twice a day. Don't forget to floss after brushing! Not only will this keep your natural teeth healthy, but it will also help you maintain your dental crown.

Visit Your Dentist

Regular visits to your dentist are very important. Our Carmel dentistry practice can help, and provides regular cleanings and exams. This will help you keep your smile healthy and catch problems before they can worsen. It is suggested that you see your dentist at least twice a year.

Be Mindful of Certain Foods

Hard or sticky foods such as ice or caramel can damage your crown or cause it to dislodge. Avoid these things or chew on the side without a crown to help keep your new restoration beautiful for as long as possible.
